Fast Recovery Epitaxial Diodes (HiPerFRED, FRED),with increasing switching frequencies, the proper functioning and efficiency of the power switch, aside from conduction losses, is determined by the turn-off behavior of the diode(characterized by Qrr, IRM and trr - Fig. 1).
